There are many Award Winning and Local Boutique Wineries nestled around the Bunbury and Geographe region, set in idyllic, picturesque WA countryside.

Many of the Wineries included have:-

Here is a summary of our 11 Wineries to look out for on the Geographe Wine Trail:-

1) St Aiden Wines

A family-run boutique winery located in the beautiful Ferguson Valley on the Ferguson River. Wines include Chardonnay, Cabernet, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat, Malbec and Tempranillo.

Cellar Doors are open 6 days per week. Also has a restaurant, caters for functions such as weddings and has online sales.

2) Capel Vale Wines

Award-winning, family owned winery in Capel about a 20 minute drive south of Bunbury. Wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Riesling.

Cellar Doors open 7 days per week. Also onsite in the highly acclaimed Match Restaurant which is open from Thursday to Monday for lunches. Capel Vale also have a Wine Club, Wine Shop and are available for functions including weddings.

3) Smallwater Estate

Another award winning winery just south of Donnybrook, south east of Bunbury. Wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Zinfandel and Chardonnay.

Open Friday to Sunday. Also has an excellent restaurant featuring their specialty Marron. Also has a Wine Club, Store and is available for functions.

4) Vinyard 28

Located in West Harvey just north of Bunbury, this family-owned Winery specialises in Italian grape varieties. Wines include Arneis, Moscato, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo.

Open 7 days per week. There are picnic areas and handcrafted items and quilts can be purchased. Also do vineyard tours and have an online shop.

5) Barton Jones Wines

4 Star Winery in Donnybrook, south east of Bunbury. Wines include Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Semillon and Semillon Sauvignon Blanc.

Open for wine tasting and local produce platters. Great views overlooking vineyard and state forest.

6) Green Door Wines

Small family-owned boutique winery in the Ferguson Valley, east of Bunbury. Wines are of a Mediterranean flavour and include Tempranillo, Monastrell and Fiano.

Cellar doors open Thursday to Sunday for grazing style platters and a great wine experience.

7) Willow Bridge Estate

This 5 Star Winery and James Halliday Wine Companion is located in the Ferguson Valley, east of Bunbury. Wines include Maria Sol Shiraz, Tempranillo Cabernet and Solana Tempranillo.

Open 7 days per week. Great views of surrounding countryside

8) Windfall Wine Estate

Formerly known as Bonking Frog Wines, this small boutique winery is in Boyanup roughly 10 minute drive south east of Bunbury. Specialising in Merlot wines.

Their cellar door is now closed to the public on a daily basis but they do have regular events. See their website for details. They have an online shop and accommodation is available in their cottage.

9) Thomson Brook Wines

Just east of Donnybrook, roughly a 20 minute drive south east of Bunbury, this is a small family run winery. They have a range of red and white wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlt, Shiraz, Riesling and Semillon Sauvignon Blanc.

Cellar Door open 7 days per week.

10) Harvey River Estate

Located in Harvey on the banks of the Harvey River roughly a 20 minute drive north of Bunbury, this winery operates a 40 acre vineyard. Produces premium wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merly, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Rose.

Open 7 days per week. Also has an online store.

11) Oakway Estate

Set in a picturesque, secluded setting South East of Donnybrook between the forest and Capel River. Wines include Vermentino, Malbec and Moscato. Also enjoy gourmet pizzas and platters.

Open on Saturdays, Sundays and most public holidays. Ned’s Brew Club also on the premises.
